This "kissa" is written in a popular typical poetical metrical composition called "kali". In this meter, each sentence contains a fixed number of words which end in a long echoing melodious time. This "kali" is to be sung at a very high pitch by an accomplished singer only to the accompaniment of selected musical instruments like "Algeza" & Dholak. The whole composition is written in "kahan". Another distinct feature of this piece is that each "kali" is followed by its paraphrase in Punjabi prose.
