Description |
This is a valuable collection of debates and discussions conducted by ancient Indian saints, yogis, Bhagats and Guru Nanak. Earlier, these texts were found in different texts. With this collection, all these debates (Goshtis) have been collected in a single volume for the convenience of the readers. Guru Nanak's debates and discussions with the leading lights of his times find a place of prominence in this collection. The author has reproduced the original texts as such, but has elucidated the meanings of difficult words and phrases in the footnotes on each page to help the reader for understanding the full impact of these texts. These texts reflect the views of ancient Indian saints on their concept of God, creation, life and death, salvation and several other metaphysical and worldly aspects of human life. Together, they reflect the different streams of Indian thought and philosophy.[edit]
