The Lloyd Barrage (Sukkur Barrage)

Description A barrage on the River Indus near the city of Sukkur in the Sindh province of Pakistan. Construction of The Lloyd Barrage (also called The Sukkur Barrage) was started in 1923 and completed in 1932. It was named Lloyd Barrage after the Governor of Bombay, Sir George Lloyd (1879-1941) who sanctioned the building of the bridge.[edit]
