The narrator, being a native of Talwandi Rai Bhoi and life-long associate and devout follower of Guru Nanak, his version of majority of the incidents related to Guru Nanak is authentic. The narration covers almost the whole of Guru Nanak's life from childhood to the end of Guru's life. The language used is colloquial, full of warmth and devotion. It touches the innermost chords of reader's heart. It portrays Guru Nanak as deeply steeped in God's name and a spiritually enlightened divine prophet.
