This small booklet is primarily addressed to the ruling political party of India. The Congress Party and members of Parliament during the 1984-1990. Written by a former dictator of Punjab Suba Morcha and a former member of the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee, it traces the genesis and history of the tragic events like desecration of the holiest Sikh shrine, the assassination of India's Prime Minister, Delhi Sikh riots of 1984, failure of Rajiv-Longowal Accord, rise of Sikh Militancy and Counter state operation. Analyzing the reasons for this decade-long violence, he accuses The Congress Party and the Majority Hindu Community of betraying the Sikhs by refusing to honour the promises given to the Sikhs by the Indian political leadership at the time of India's partition. This Betrayal of Sikhs military and police excesses on Sikhs, and non-acceptance of legitimate Sikh demands are responsible for the Sikh Anger & discontent. He claims to offer a solution to this burning problem but does not disclose its outline.The booklet is a summary of Sikh aspirations, grievances and their sense of injustice and the Sikh psychology. It is an account written by an active participant in the Sikh struggle. It makes a painful reading. It is thought provoking and factual to a large extent.[edit]
