The Samadhi of Ranjit Singh, Lahore, Pakistan

Description Located near the Lahore Fort and Badshahi Mosque in Lahore, The Samadhi of Ranjit Singh (1780-1839) was completed in 1848 and houses a funerary marble urn in the shape of a lotus containing the ashes of Ranjit Singh. Smaller surrounding urns contain the ashes of four sati queens and seven concubines.[edit]
