Soon after India's independence, a constituent assembly comprising leaders from all major sections of Indian society was constituted. It was entrusted with the serious business of transacting legislative business in the parliamentary mode of governance including the forming of India's constitution. This volume contains proceedings of legislative debates conducted in it from November 29 to December 10, 1947. These debates covered several vital aspects of constitutional importance and legislative Bill.
