Punjab was divided into West and East Punjab following India's partition in 1947. It resulted in large scale migration of Punjab population and communal riots, lawlessness, violence and bloodshed. This collection of selected portions taken from the Civil and Military gazette 1947 throws light on the communal situation, lawlessness, views of Akali Dal, Panthic Assembly party, main recommendations of Boundary Commission headed by Radcliffe Cyril and later amendments and resolution passed Panthic Assembly party.
