This document part I gives statistics and vital information about several aspects pertaining to the state of Punjab and its feudatories based on the census held in 1891 by the then British Government of India. This part gives information about the density of population, in towns and cities, major religions and number of their followers, religious sects, information about the ages and sexes of the population, marriage details, castes, tribes, races and their major occupations and the state of education and various languages of this region.
