Bhagat Singh

Description The booklet written especially for the leftist youth organization All India Youth Federation (AIYF) by a Marxist leader presents a Marxist perspective on the life and sacrifice of one of the greatest Indian martyrs S Bhagat Singh. It profiles the enlightened political consciousness of S Bhagat Singh, his revolutionary ideas and acts and his supreme sacrifice of embracing death at the gallows in the infamous Lahore Conspiracy case. The author is critical of Mahatma Gandhi and Congress party for their ambivalent attitude towards Bhagat Singh's trial. He presents Bhagat Singh as an icon of Indian Youth and a Marxist ideologue.[edit]
