Book presents Sir Sunder Singh Majithia as a multifaceted personality who played a crucial rule in Sikh polity and Sikh society during the last of 19th century and first four decades of 20th century. He combined the virtues of being a moderate and sober statesman, a rational thinker and a great innovator, an educationist and a socio-religious reformer in his personality. A born aristocrat, he was a great benefactor of the poor. A balanced person who was neither a stooge of the British nor a hawkish revolutionary. He believed in fruitful cooperation with the British government for deriving maximum benefit for his community. His contribution to the Singh Sabha Movement, promotion of education among the Sikhs, setting up of Khalsa College Amritsar, Gurdwara Reforms Act and Economic reforms was very significant.
