Title The Life and Times of Guru Hargobind
Description This research dissertation highlights biographical account of Guru Har Gobind as well as the religion-political milieu prevailing before and during the Guru's times. This research works cuts most of the dead wood of myths and miracles associated with the Guru and gives a balanced, objective, credible account of Guru's life and times. It is based on an intensive study of old Persian European and Indian historical resources and written after a proper sifting of grains from the chaff. A detailed account of Guru's early life, his assumption of Guruship and his relationship with the Mughal imperialists, his addition of temporal authority along with the spiritual and religious authority and his teachings has been given with complete impartiality and candour. The expression and diction are scholarly, precise and brief. A comprehensive bibliography is likely to guide the future researchers
