Title Influence Of The Sikh Activities On The Indian Society Between (1761-1809)
Description This research dissertation makes a critical study of Sikh activities during the period 1761 to 1809 and traces their influence on Indian Society. The Sikhs not only carved an independent state for themselves but also influence and enriched the Indian society with their steadfast allegiance to the virtues of patriotism, service, and sacrifice for their motherland and religion and resistance against oppression and tyranny. Similarly their ideals of hard work, sharing one's earnings with the needy, meditation on the divine and upholding of justice enriched the existing value system. The dissertation is scholarly, well-documented and brings out a synthesis between the two conflicting views about Sikh struggle. The chapter division is chronological and progressive
