Title Sri Gur Partap Suraj Granth ( Raas 4-8 )
Description This hand-written manuscript written in "Braj Bhasha" gives an account of Guru Arjan Dev, his collateral rivals, Guru Hargobind and Kavi Santokh Singh's "Suraj Partap Granth". It is written in ancient way of writing where all the words in a sentence are clubbed together. This makes the modern reader's task difficult while reading its contents. Written in verse, it uses all the prevalent devices such as Dohra, Chopai, Kabit, Sortha etc. The ink used is durable and page margins are marked by double line in square. Paging is also done in Punjabi figures. The overall stance is devotional and admiration towards the Sikh Gurus.
