Title People Fight Back
Description This report prepared by eminent Indian legal luminaries and socially enlightened group of people and representatives of Democratic Rights organizations presents the historical background and causes and consequences of large scale violence in Punjab in 1980-1990's. It lists the reasons and factors which have created such a boiling situation and its effect on Punjab's people, economy and communal fabric. The report lays blame both on communal terrorist organizations as well as unprecedented repressive state acts together with the controlled and biased media. The reports limit itself to diagnosis and refrains from suggesting any solutions for the tragic situation.
