Title Dogras
Description Dogras, a sub-caste of the Indian Rajputs, evolved and settled in the hilly region around Jammu. They trace their lineage to the Aryans from the Vedic times. They are known for their soldierly qualities of grit as well as shrewdness and duplicity. They have their own distinct dialect and language. This book traces the origin, history, evolution, ethnic traits, principal areas of habitation, share in the power-structure of Punjab and northern India of the Dogras. It narrates the minute details about the rise and fall of the Dogras, as well as their principal rulers and areas of influence. The book is well-documented and based on historical facts
