Title Punjabi Suba (The Story of The Struggle)
Description The history of the Sikh struggle for achievement of Punjabi speaking state called Punjabi Suba is comparatively of recent origin. It has not been chronicled systematically so far. This voluminous work gives a chronological account of the historical background and post-India independence circumstances leading to the struggle and its culmination in the formation of Punjabi Suba. The author, who was an eye witness to India's partition as well as a participant in later Sikh struggle, has given an almost year wise account of the Sikh struggle. It also tries to rebut the charges leveled against Sikh leadership of communalism and secession. He regards the Sikh struggle as a legitimate activity for the realization of Sikh's genuine religions and cultural aspirations. The whole account is factual and clears many misconceptions about the Sikh struggle.
