Title Sahaheed Bilaas
Description Written in verse, the book describes the life history of Bhai Mani Singh, one of the greatest Sikh martyrs and a dedicated Sikh scholar, priest and administrator of the main Sikh Shrine. A resident of Multan, he dedicated his whole life to the service of Sikh Panth including the lives of his five sons. He wrote the entire copy of Guru Granth Sahib as dictated by Guru Gobind Singh. He was the third head priest of Sri Darbar Sahib. Finally he sacrificed his life and got his body dismembered limb by limb on refusing to pay the fine imposed by Mughal authorities. He refused to pay the prescribed tax for holding a congregation at Sri Darbar Sahib on Baisakhi. The book is based on the research work done by Giani Garja Singh, the Editor of this book.
