Title Betrayal of The Sikhs
Description The author puts forth the thesis that the Sikhs, despite the exemplary service and loyalty to the British crown, have been betrayed by the ungrateful British government while deciding about the proposed transfer of power in 1947. This is evident from the recommendations of British Cabinet Mission regarding the mode of grant of Independence to India. While Mission has recognized the Muslim aspirations and recommended grant of constitutional guaranties to the Muslims, it has completely ignored the legitimate concerns of the most valiant and loyal Sikh community this amounts to "Betrayal of the Sikhs" by the British in the author's opinion. This thesis put forth by British national who served in India for a long time is an objective and impartial analysis of Sikh dilemma and British duplicity and betrayal. His dispassionate appeal to the British government to recognize the Sikh aspirations in laudable.
