Description |
The book gives a description of the demarcation of ancient Punjab. It gives details about its boundaries as given by Greek historians. According to this study, Ancient Punjab existed between Penta Potamia upto the North-West region of Hindustan. It also tells about the earliest natives of Punjab, advent of the Aryans, Egyptian emperor Osrsis's invasion of Punjab, Alexander's invasion and invasions by Ghazanavi, Ghouri, Tartars, and Taimur and the end of Mughal rule. Some other major events have also been mentioned such as invasions of Nadir Shah and Ahmed Shah Abdali and sufferings of people of Punjab under their tyranny. It also highlights the rise of the Sikhs. |
